As previously mentioned, commercial tour operators often charge two to three
times as much as this package. As an example, one such operation exacts over
US$4200 for just a seven day tour of the region. Yes, they may have SEVERAL guides or
staff along but do WE really need something like that? No!
This tour takes us to all the good places at a much more reasonable cost.
Our land package includes:
- guided coach tour of Paris upon arrival in France
- sixteen nights accommodation in 2 - 3 star hotels every night
of the cycle route including one hotel overnight
in Paris BEFORE the cycling and two in Paris AFTER the biking. Continental breakfast
included with all hotels.
- van transportation of bikes from Paris airport to Orleans
and from Angers back to Paris airport
- train shuttles between Paris & Orleans and Angers back to Paris
- welcome wine and cheese party at the hotel in Orleans the evening
before the first cycling day
- luggage van with English speaking driver (we don't have to ride
loaded bikes on this trip!)
- daily self guiding route maps
- entrance fees to selected cultural attractions along the way

- Day 11, Mon Jun 05: Villandry Chateau w/ unforgettable gardens
- Day 11, Mon Jun 05: Tours - wine tasting of Vouvray wines
- Day 12, Tue Jun 06: Fontevraud l'Abbaye where King Henry II of England, alienor of Aquitaine and Richard the Lion Heart are buried
- Day 13, Wed Jun 07: wine tasting of Champigny wines at 16th century estate
- Day 14, Thu Jun 08: Chateau d'Angers w/ Medieval Tapestry of Apocalypse
What is not included:
- airfare between home and Paris
- bicycle, associated gear and clothing
- all lunches and dinners
- items of personal nature
- gratuities (optional)
- insurances, visas, passports, spending money
- advance transit of bikes from home to Paris (may be recommended) and resultant
storage of bikes at airport

Please do not submit "flimsy" fax paper to "Skies", as this material soon fades
and disintegrates.
Payments may be made electronically with credit card, however completed registration form(s)
must still be received by Skies via "snail mail", courier, hand delivery, etc..
Please do not fax completed forms unless followed up with delivery of original.
